VITRUVI Sunshine Collection

While most people are counting down the hours until New Years, I’m counting down the days until Summer. And while some people wish it was Christmas all year ‘round, (full disclaimer), I am NOT one of those people. Lol. Don’t get me wrong, I LOVE Christmas, just not Winter. Mostly because the feeling of being cold infuriates me, but never quite enough to warm me up. If you know, you know. Throw in some seasonal depression with a side of raincouver weather, and you’ll be a seeing yourself next Tuesday (or something like that).

⁣Now how does one make it to next Tuesday, one might ask? Well, I don’t have all the answers, but I do have some Essential Oils from VITRUVI. And nope, I’m not here to hustle you and all the girlfriends I haven’t talked to since highschool via some MLM nonsense (don’t even get me started). And nope, this isn’t a paid post or an ad. I just simply want to acknowledge one of my favourite local brands for helping me ride the waves of Winter, via a little indoor sunshine (and all that surrounds it).⁣

Listed below are a few of my favourite things from the Summer Collection, which have continued to get me through the Winter months . . .

SUNSHINE KIT

This kit includes 4 x 5ml essential oil blends, complete with a Stone diffuser. Unfortunately, this kit is not currently available and likely won’t be until Summertime. However, there are several other kits to choose from on Vitruvi’s website, some of which carry the same (or similar) scents as the ones from this particular collection. You can also purchase the below scents individually in various sizes.

Okay, let’s get to the details…

PACIFIC

This is one of my absolute favourite blends, not only in this collection, but overall. It’s scent reminds me of warm Summer beach days and Vancouver rain all year ‘round.

How Vitruvi describes this blend:

An ocean dip.

Pacific is herbal and refreshing. With top notes of Amyris and Bergamot and bottom notes of Lavender and Eucalyptus, it smells like waves unfurling on the shore. Close your eyes, breathe in— you can almost feel the sand beneath your toes.”

Scent Notes (as described by Vitruvi):

Amyris — Light, woodsy, peppery

Bergamot — Citrusy, comforting, bright

Lavender — Delicate, floral, soft

Eucalyptus — Refreshing, airy, herbal

MOONBEAM

Another favourite of mine. This scent is heavily reminiscent of never wanting Summer to end.

How Vitruvi describes this blend:

A never-ending story.

Moonbeam is floral and evocative. With top notes of Wild Orange, Rose, and Jasmine and a bottom note of Ho Wood, it smells like a verdant garden after rainfall. Shut your eyes, open your heart, and expand your mind.”

Scent Notes (as described by Vitruvi):

Wild Orange — Deep, tart, rich

Rose — Floral, lush, romantic

Jasmine — Sweet, sensual, musky

Ho Wood — Warm, woodsy, dry

GRASSLAND

This blend reminds me of a unique a cup of matcha, but in oil form, and I mean that in the absolute best way! Although it is considered a Summer blend, I could easily diffuse it just as much during the Spring (or even now).

How Vitruvi describes this blend:

A green light.

Grassland is verdant and fresh. With top notes of Petitgrain and Clary Sage and a bottom note of Caraway, it smells like wide open fields. Everything you desire is yours for the taking—ready, set, go.”

Scent Notes (as described by Vitruvi):

Petitgrain — Floral, rich, sparkling

Clary Sage — Herbal, ambery, masky

Caraway — Warm, herbal, fresh

Bay Laurel — Sharp, herbal, grassy

WILD POSY

This scent reminds me of the transition from Spring to Summer and I’m here for it!

How Vitruvi describes this blend:

A free spirit.

Wild Posy is decadent yet laid-back. With top notes of Red Mandarin and Geranium and a bottom note of Patchouli, it smells like bright pink flowers and big blue skies. It’s the art of going with the flow.”

Scent Notes (as described by Vitruvi):

Red Mandarin — Fresh, sweet, tangy

Geranium — Floral, decadent, minty

Patchouli — Sweet, spicy, musky

Ylang Ylang — Rich, bold, floral

As mentioned earlier, this kit came with a Stone Diffuser, and oh my goodness, is it ever gorgeous! Seriously, the below photo does absolutely no justice. This diffuser is made from ceramic and carries a lovely matte finish. It also has an optional ambient LED light that gives a candle-like glow (as stated by Vitruvi). Even when I’m not diffusing, I admire it for it’s decorative look.

These diffusers come in many colours. However, I chose to get mine in white to go with the muted tones of my current mood.

As if all the above wasn’t satisfying enough, I couldn’t help but order a couple of reads:

The first is a book, titled ESSENTIAL WELL BEING, and it’s written by VITRUVI’S very own co-founder, Sara Panton.

This book is so beautifully put together and I love the way it looks in our living space.

Vitruvi describes this read as “A modern guide to using essential oils in beauty, body, and home rituals”, and is complete with more than 100 essential oil recipes, rituals, etc.

The second is the No. 1 issue of NATURAL HABITAT magazine.

Another beautiful piece.

Vitruvi describes this as “the chicest read”, complete with “thought-provoking articles and stunning imagery.” It also features actor (and BEIS founder), Shay Mitchell on the cover. Who doesn’t adore her?

Well, that about wraps it up for this collection. If I’m not baking or cooking in the Kitchen later, you can likely find me (somewhere), diffusing one of these blends, and/or on IG @haveyour.c.a.k.e

Wishing you all the best in the year ahead!

Xoxo
