Baby Teeth(ers), Featuring Lou Lou Lollipop and The Very Hungry Caterpillar

The very first book I ever read my son was “The Very Hungry Caterpillar”, which has been a family favourite since our first was born. And much like the very hungry caterpillar, himself, my son has been biting things non-stop, but not just because he’s hungry… Growing babies = growing teeth, and boy, have we had a journey with teething this time around… My girls never had a rough time with it (from what I can remember), but this poor little guy can’t catch a break. We’ve tried multiple teething toys and have had minimal luck. Don’t get me wrong, the counter pressure helps, but not long after most teethers are given, he resorts to throwing them on the floor (or out in the parking lot with LOTS of tears to follow). Needless to say, it was time to look for a pacifier clip.

Now, I initially envisioned myself having to search to the ends of the Earth to find the “perfect” pacifier clip, because that’s been a pattern with nearly every baby item I buy. However, this one was an easy find and I’m forever grateful. All it took was a quick stroll to one of our favourite local shops, and out popped a Very Hungry Caterpillar pacifier clip, complete with the cutest teething rings.

Also, considering our little guy has more teeth on the way now, I picked up 2 tooth brushes while we were at the store (as you can see).

I’ll review each item below…

Lou Lou Lollipop Teether Set

Okay, so not only is this set ridiculously cute, but the pacifier clip makes A L L the difference. It‘s great for both at home and on-the-go, as it stays securely attached to baby clothing, as well as stroller and seatbelt straps. I appreciate that the clip was included in this set, because all too often I see them being sold separately, but never in the same place as the pacifiers and teething rings. Lou Lou Lollipop does a great job at offering both separates and sets, and whoever organized the baby section at West Coast Kids clearly deserves a raise.

This set comes with 1 pacifier clip, plus 1 caterpillar teething ring and 1 butterfly teething ring, which are interchangeable. However, the clip can be used for other teething rings as well, including my son’s current favourite by Lou Lou that was purchased prior to buying this set (seen in grey). That particular teething ring originally came in a set of 3 rings, 2 of which have gone missing. All the more reason for a pacifier clip, right?

Radius Totz Toothbrush(es)

As previously stated, it seemed fitting to purchase a toothbrush now that our little guy has actual teeth to brush. And of course I got an extra, because I like to stock up (my excuse for not being able to decide on which colour to get). As you can see, the blue and grey matches the teething set, while the green and yellow reminds me of a pineapple. I love everything pineapple, and yes, I’m fully aware I’m one of t h o s e people.

Anyway, toothbrushing has been a breeze (so far). One of the brushes has also doubled as a teether, as my son likes chewing on the bumpy part to soothe his gums after brushing. A major win win. The bristles are extra soft as well, but also make for a great teething toy (cleaning) brush, which is what I ended up using the second one for.

All products mentioned in this post are free of BPA, synthetic dyes, etc. and have easily become some of my favourite finds for baby (I think he would agree).

Thanks for reading! May you all have a great rest of your week!
