Kyte Baby Ring Sling (and Carafe to-go)

Over the last week, I’ve been wearing my new “birch” and rose gold ring sling by Kyte Baby, and so far, I’m loving it!

⁣When I first became a mother, I did very minimal research on baby carriers and basically just bought the first one I saw that looked half decent.  Let me tell you, it  was  the  W O R S T .  Literally so uncomfortable and awkward to wear, yet somehow I toughed it out until I wore it out and I’m pretty sure I’m still recovering from it.  Needless to say, I did my research this time around and wanted to weigh out alll the options.

Something that kept catching my eye upon research, was the ring sling.  There’s just something so elegant about them.  And so I did some more research and found that they are particularly great for newborns, yet carry plenty of room for growth.  Knowing one of my favourite baby brands carries them (mentioned above), I made the decision to order one to try out, and now can’t recommend it enough!

Below, I’m going to highlight what I like most about this ring sling.

It’s pretty and has a subtle elegance about it.  Honestly, you could probably get away with wearing this ring sling without a baby in it and people would just think it’s part of your outfit.

It’s lightweight.  Minus the ring, which actually isn’t all that heavy anyway.  The fabric though is so light, as it’s made with 100% pre-washed linen.  However it’s not too light to the point of fearing baby will fall out, which is obviously a major plus for safety.

It’s comfortable.  This was something that was really lacking in the first carrier I ever bought. Because of the lightweight material, this ring sling provides more than enough comfort, which is something I can very much appreciate. Plus, it has a pocket large enough to fit a carafe. Need I say more?

It matches my baby bag and favourite comfies.  If you know me by now, you know I’m all for the matchy moments.  And while I’m no fashionista like my mother was, I think we can all agree that the birch colour goes well with the main colour of the bag, and the rose gold compliments the soft pinks (shown below).

Other things I love about this ring sling… It’s perfect for short walks, getting sh*t done, and the luxury of making iced lattes, hands-free with a newborn.  All the things (and the little things), but mostly the little things.

Speaking of the little things, for those who recently asked about what kind of iced latte I made, it’s really simple...  It’s just a steeped rooibos by Tazo, ice added, followed by a maple syrup pour over by Noble, and some shaken oat milk by Oatly.  Everything in that order, unmeasured, just felt out.

Xoxo
