LUSH Cosmetics Unboxing
Have you ever gone to do something specific and wind up completely fixiated on something else? Like going to the grocery store to pick up cane sugar, and somehow find yourself shopping for sugar scrub instead? Well, I’m notorious for these types of distractions, especially when it comes to shopping. However, today it happened at home... I went to the kitchen for a 𝐜𝐮𝐩 𝐨’ 𝐜𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 and came back with a mouth full of (you guessed it) sugar from 𝐋𝐔𝐒𝐇 𝐂𝐨𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐬. Don’t worry, I didn’t actually eat it, although it certrianly smelled good enough to devour. When they say you can’t have your cake and eat it too, I suppose this is what they mean…
Anyway, after unboxing the first product from the lush package that had been sitting by the door for goodness knows how long, I figured I would share the rest of the non-edible treats on here just for fun. For those who knew my mom, you probably know she loved her beauty products, so I think she would especially like seeing this showcased on here. And if you don’t like it, that’s just too f*cking bad. Just kidding. But seriously, it’s a little bit too bad, because I’m sharing it anyway.
First up are the REFRESHER toothpaste tabs and the ZING mouthwash tabs. I keep seeing these things all over the place and I just wanted to see what the hype is about. The toothpaste tabs are flavoured with citrus and almond essential oils and the mouthwash tabs are flavoured with grapefruit extract and Himalayan salt. I’ll probably just stash these away in my purse for on the go toothbrushing and mouthwashing or whatever the f*ck, I don’t even know.
Next is the BUBBLEGUM sugar lip scrub, which I actually already tried. It smells amazing and just makes my lips feel so nice and smooth. Highly recommend this one!
Now for the AMERICAN CREAM solid perfume. This stuff smells f*cking delicious, I can’t even describe it. Also, sorry for swearing so much, it’s just one of those days.
Next is the ANGEL HAIR shampoo bar, which I’m really excited to try! It’s made with rose and cocoa butter, and is specific to dry hair and sensitive scalp. I also bought some containers for it and the other bars I ordered (seen below). These containers are not from LUSH though, they’re from Indigo. I just thought they were nicer looking (no offence).
They also had an AMERICAN CREAM pressed conditioner bar, so obviously had to get that. It smells just as delish as the perfume, almost like a milkshake. It’s made with lavender oil and agave syrup, and is said to provide softness and shine to dry hair.
Next is the MARSHMALLOW WORLD bath bomb. It smells like a mix of marshmallows and cotton candy. It also carries some sweet elements that are similar to the AMERICAN CREAM scent. This bath bomb is said to be soothing and provides a slow fizz, which I like.
The other bath product I ordered is the MRS. WHIPPY bubble bar, which smells and looks like cake. It also carries some soft, caramel elements. This is similar to a bath bomb, only it creates more bubbles rather than fizz. It also lasts longer.
Now for the DREAM CREAM body lotion for sensitive skin. It smells so fresh and looks so soothing. It’s made with oat milk, cocoa butter, rose water, chamomile, and lavender oil. I’ll probably use this for after shaving.
Last, but not least, is the CUP O’ COFFEE face and body mask. More like half a cup o’ coffee, considering I did only order the half size just to see if I would like it. It’s made with fresh ground coffee, kaolin, and agave syrup. I’ll most likely use this for a weekly exfoliating scrub in the shower.
That about wraps it up for this unboxing. For more visual details, check the latest on my IG @haveyour.c.a.k.e and view the highlights!
