Jericho Beach (Cafe) Concession
Last week, my daughter started school, and while I packed a lunch for her (obviously), I “forgot” to pack a lunch for myself. Well, okay, the first time I actually forgot, the second time, I purposely didn’t pack one, so I could find myself at the concession stand again... Why? Because I’m a sucker for concession food. Also, I was SO hungry and it was the closest thing to a restaurant I could get my hands on.
From Kombucha on tap, to running out of refills, to too many options, and not enough toppings, the concession at Jericho Beach was a fun little experience. If you want to know more, keep reading! And if you don’t, just skip the line, order some food, and gtfo (just kidding on that last part).
Anyways, let’s start with a drink…
Kombucha
9/10
Smooth, fizzy, and that little gingery punch to the throat, I really couldn’t ask for more. Okay, who am I kidding? I tried to go back for a refill, but they were out. If they hadn’t run out, it would have been 10/10.
French Fries
7/10
I love a good salty French fry and these were just that. I tried to rate these appropriately, because while they were SO good, they weren’t SO SO good. Like I would order them again, but they’re certainly not the best fries I’ve ever had.
Jumbo Hotdog

The photo below is about as messy as this concession item was in real life, and that actually isn’t a bad thing. The image quality, however, certainly doesn’t do justice for what I enjoyed about it. While I’m more of a cheeseburger type of girl, they were out of cheese, so I opted for a jumbo hot dog and I don’t regret it. To be honest, it was delicious, but to be completely honest, it definitely could have used more toppings. The messier, the better as it turns out.
Customer Service

It took the person who was working a while to get to the window, but they were friendly when taking my order. And to be fair, I think they were one of the only ones working at the time, so no hard feeling there. The birds had no hard feeling either. If you know, you know.
Overall Experience

To put it simply, this concession wasn’t particularly life changing, but I would definitely eat there again!
